Review of APPLE Watch SE (2023) - 40 mm Silver Aluminium Case with Winter Blue Sport Loop

I Got this watch as a gift for my kid, ‘discounted’ as it was stock from 2023. The watch is no different from the latest 2024 models.

My main concern was the battery - as we know they deteriorate over time - so I thought this might have an impact. If there is it’s so marginal it is not realised.

Even is the latest base model the functions and applications available impressed me and so have decided to get one for myself.

Walkie talkie functions between watch is entertaining but a nice way to contact your child when out of view.

I was always skeptical about these smart watches believing a false economy and a classic watch is timeless and distinguished and they are I guess, but my perception has changed towards smart watches, the functions they have make life more effective - if Apple ever develop a watch that can function completely free from an iPhone, I would ditch the phone completely (Apple Watches unfortunately need an iPhone as a foundation to update and organise main functions). I understand there are cellular models but they still need an iPhone to startup and maintain functions.

I guess that’s me hooked onto smartwatches and exchanging and updating them like my phone, ah well hopefully a watch-phone is developed and I can go back to one gadget.

Overall I am very satisfied with my watch. It does everything I need it to do. I picked it primarily because it was a cheaper alternative that still allowed me the majority of the functions from the higher end models. It runs fast, looks great. I’m very happy with my purchase. I will say this, had Verizon offered their new $10 monthly device plan for smart watches I probably would have spent the extra money and gotten the one that is not only GPS. At the time they didn’t offer this plan as an add on for prepaid customers and I was not about to pay for an entire additional line just to have data on my watch. So I guess that’s something to keep in mind when purchasing, check what type of plans your carrier offers as well as their costs when deciding between GPS %26 Cellular options for your watch. Another important consideration is the screen size. I originally ordered the smaller screen and the moment I put it on I took it off and returned it. Especially for men, the smaller watch size looks more like a toy and not an actual watch. Just a heads up. I guess if you’re smaller stature that could work for you, but me being 6ft tall looking at that toy screen on my wrist, it made me feel like I had just wasted the $200. Aside from those two things there’s really no way you could go wrong purchasing an Apple Watch. Any of the newer models are more than adequate. I previously owned a series 2 when it first came out. Used it for about a year and then dropped it. Had used an Apple Watch again until now. Obviously this watch was a huge upgrade from what I used previously. Not to mention I paid way less for this watch than I did for the series 2 version.

When you have the urge to buy a smartwatch look no further than Apple Watch SE especially since it’s cheaper than the other Apple Watches out there and It’s worth it for the money. it has lol the functions that other Apple Watches have. I brought the one with 40mm small medium so it looks fairly small on my hand because my hand is very small. It fits perfectly on hole 3.
One thing that I like about this watch is that the watch can work without WiFi or cellular since it has GPS connectivity which is awesome but the only thing is that you need to bring your phone with you because it’s connected with the iPhone without iPhone it won’t work. This Apple Watch the battery doesn’t seem to last long it dies quickly. Another downfall is that I can’t play music without it being connected to the iPhone it has to airplay it cannot play music on the Apple Watch when I connect my Bluetooth on the Apple Watch. But the good thing about this Apple Watch is that it has sleep track which can help me track my sleep. This is also the reason that made me want to buy an Apple Watch. It has its best uses you will know once you decide to get this Apple Watch. Even though it has its flaws it’s still worth the money. I suggest you to buy this Apple Watch.
Amazing features, but poor battery life!

This watch has everything that you'd want in a watch. You can send text messages from the watch, answer phone calls, track your sleep patterns accurately, track you heart rate, track your workouts, and use many other cool apps. It's very compatible to use with an Iphone and I really love the Apple Fitness app which comes with a free 6 months when you purchase the watch.

I've had the watch for about a month and everything has been going smoothly, except the battery life is really trash. The battery doesn't last longer than a day. Luckily I bought a wear damage replacement warranty, but I'm just unsure about the battery life of this watch.

I guess this watch is a lot better the Fitbit Versa that I used to have because the Fitbit would leave my wrist skin looking raw after wearing it for days. This doesn't happen at all with the Apple Watch, but you need to take the watch off after a while anyways.

Amazing watch, but the battery could be better. The battery lasts me about a day and a half, or less than that before I have to charge it and it's at 10%.
