[Rewarded Review] Great jeans but I need a longer leg length!

I really do love Levi’s jeans. I had women’s 501s in my teens in the late 90s (I don’t think they had the 1% stretch then though). However, back in the 90s, they were available in a 34 inch inside leg. I was a 28/34 and they fitted like a dream. Now, the longest leg length is 32, which, for me, is more of an ankle grazer/cropped. I’m really pleased that other styles are available in longer lengths, such as the flare, the bootcut, and wide leg, but it just seems strange that such an iconic jean wouldn’t be available in a longer leg. Please consider making them a little longer for us taller ladies.

Size wise, I think these come up bigger than they used to years ago. I’m generally a size 10-12 (UK) but only need a 27 waist in these. They’re really good at keeping their shape too, but I’d definitely advise you to size down and buy the size you can squeeze into and do a few squats to stretch them out, rather than buying the size that fit comfortably (with wiggle room) right away. They soon ease up with a few squats, as long as they fit on the waist.

If you’re a taller lady, looking for a longer leg to wear with boots, I’d recommend the wedgie bootcut as an alternative to these. I do find I need a 28 waist for the wedgie style though.

Also, I’d be thrilled if you brought back the “distressed” wash 501s without the holes or fraying. I love the worn/washed look, but really don’t like jeans with engineered holes!
[Rewarded Review] Great style - love the 100% cotton!

I have recently purchased several pairs of Levis 501 Original Fit Jeans in different washes. This was the style I wore in the 90's and stilI love them. I love the way they fit because I am an hourglass shape and this style accentuates my waist. I am also short-waisted and these don't come up too high - right at my belly button. I have a 31 inch waist, 38 inch hips, weigh 135 lbs and I'm 5' 5" tall. I purchased a 29 waist with 32 length. I also purchased the 30 waist and they were too big in the hips. I appreciate that Levis includes the actual waist dimensions for the different waist number sizes. I have found this information to be accurate. I love the weight of these jeans and the 100% cotton fiber content. Just be aware that cotton stretches out but doesn't bounce back like jeans that contain lycra, elastane or some other stretchy fiber. I recommend sizing down like I did. I only wish they offered a 31 to 31 1/2 inch inseam because the 30 inseam is too short and the 32 inseam is too long on me for this style. I just have t be OK with the jeans pooling at the bottom and always wear some kind of heel.
[Rewarded Review] Wish sizing was consistent across colors

I ordered this pair of 501s (40% viscose, 60% cotton) color switch teams-dark wash in size 23, as well as the original (100% cotton) 501s in size 23. There is definitely a size difference. This pair, in the color switch teams, no stretch is sized larger than the 501 originals in color shout out stone no stretch. I would say almost a full size larger than the other pair. I do love the color though, so I am going to keep them and hope they shrink or take them to the tailors to take the waist in. Pay attention to the line under the length choice "Customers say Runs big" it's definitely an honest description of the sizing related to color. I really wanted these jeans to be perfect! I will try and update once I wash them.
For reference, my sizing is 5'8", 115lbs, 24" waist, 35" hips, and I got the size 23 x 32 inseam based off the size chart. The length is just right for me.
Doesn’t feel like 100% cotton jeans

The fit is terrible. I presently wear 29x30 Levi’s 505 and they fit perfectly! Levi’s 501’s, same size, are baggy and long and the material is thin, faded and the wear pattern is odd and unnatural. They have ridiculous fade lines at the crotch area. Why can’t Levi’s produce dark blue, heavy, correctly sized denim trousers? Some people work and need rugged trousers to wear. I will be looking for other options until the 505 becomes available again. Sad. No longer an American icon company. I cannot recommend these products or company to any potential purchaser.
