Touchland Rainwater Scent
kmb7800· Review provided by sephora.com · November 8, 2024
This sanitizer is good value, even though it looks bit fancier and is more expensive than the typical drugstore hand sanitizer. One spray bottle lasts a while, although a spritz or two isn’t enough to cover a pair of hands. Personally, I need at least 4 spritzes per application. Even so, it still lasts a good number of weeks, depending on usage.

The Rainwater scent is fresh but can be overpowering. Coming from using alcohol sprays with the smell dissipating after a while, the Touchland sanitizer smell seems to last hours. It may or not may not be a good thing, depending on how one handles scents. As far as effectivity is concerned, the back of the case indicates that its active ingredient is “Alcohol 70% v/v”, which is usual for commercial hand sanitizers.

The best thing about the sanitizer though is its packaging. It’s easy to stash, not just because of its size, but because of its shape. Because it’s angular and not circular like most spray bottles, it’s easier to find space for it and tuck it in corners, or even pockets.

Would definitely purchase again but perhaps will try the unscented version next time.

I don’t understand why this brand is so hyped up. It doesn’t leave your hands feeling cleaner like regular gel hand sanitizer does, at least for me. My hands became so dry from using this product, even when I regularly used hand lotion. I also dislike that you can’t smell the product beforehand because it’s sealed in a plastic bag. Since I couldn’t smell it beforehand, I ended up with a product with a scent I really didn’t like (despite usually really favoring this type of smell). Definitely wouldn’t suggest buying this. I really only bought it because I was curious and thought that surely this product must be good since so many people like it. But I guess it’s really just for the asinine aesthetic. Honestly, you’re better off just buying rubbing alcohol and putting it in a mini spray bottle because there is absolutely no justification for the price of this product and its efficacy (or lack thereof). Or just buy a 24 fl oz of hand sanitizer for the price of one single container of this non refillable waste of plastic. Sorry for ranting about hand sanitizer.
Don’t waste your money! I found a dupe

I think we can all agree that $10 is just outrageous for a hand sanitizer. I did get this for Christmas so I wanted to give it a fair chance. But it’s not worth it. It’s such a light mist that you have to spray quite a bit to get your hands wet enough to kill germs. I don’t think people realize, you really need to cover your hands with this product and rub them together really well in order to kill germs. I’ve seen so many people do a couple sprays and rub their hands once. That’s not doing anything. This is pretty much a glorified hand fragrance. Don’t waste your money because the clock app aesthetic influencers have you thinking you need this. In fact, if you are in the US, five below the discount store, has a dupe. I actually bought some of those to compare. The packaging is the same, the container is the same shape, and there are some fun scents. My favorite is the pineapple. It smells like a pineapple lifesaver candy! And the five below product sprays more of a wet mist so you can actually get your hands clean.

Hi. I only write reviews if something is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. This product, by and large, is the latter, unfortunately.

I don't know how this has so many good reviews (I guess if you filter by non-incentivized and verified purchase, there aren't, but that's my mistake).

The one good thing about this product seems to be that it isn't drying. I wouldn't call it "hydrating"; any product with alcohol likely won't be.

I've tried four (4) scents and the only one I like is the salted caramel. It's very strong, but I think it is warm and caramelly-smelling. That being said, my husband hates it and says it smells like cotton candy.

The vanilla blossom literally smells like OFF! (the insect repellent). I used dish soap to get the scent off because it was offensively bad.

The beach coco smells like chemical coconut. It smells like coconut, if coconut were made in a laboratory, alongside sugar alcohols.

Had high hopes for the spiced pumpkin-tini, which when dry only smells like mild cinnamon. It's not bad, but it'd be more accurate to just call it "cinnamon".

Quite bold of this brand to charge $10 a bottle for this quality. I don't know if I'll bother to return it and may just give it away. Won't be repurchasing.
