I was a little nervous the first time I tried on the Air Max 1. I had read a few reviews where people complained the shoes were very hard and stiff and quite uncomfortable. I was relieved when I didn't experience this at all. My shoes are soft and comfortable and fit like a glove. There was good cushioning in the heel and toe area with some slight wiggle room. I have narrow feet so that might explain why I don't really notice the stiffness in the shoes. The meshy fabric was soft, and it was thicker than I expected which was a good thing. The shoes do have a somewhat clunky appearance which is partly due to the Air Max bubble. However, they are still surprisingly light and don't feel clunky at all.
I've worn them several times to work out and have been quite pleased so far. My workouts typically include light running and cross training and I have had no significant issues with my shoes between the various exercises. My shoes feel light on my feet and the landing on jumps are soft and sure. As comfortable as the shoes are, my favorite part of the new Air Max 1 is the design. The Air Max 1 may be new but there's a familiar timeless feel about it that I really love. It's as if I've had them for years. If I had to change one thing about these shoes, it would be the sole of the shoe. There isn't much tread, and I worry that the tread will wear out much sooner than I'd like. For a cross training shoe, the little tread is a disappointment. Overall, there's still a lot to like about the Air Max 1. Despite that disappointment, I'm still happy with my shoes and will be hanging on to them for a while.

I was one of those kids back in the day who had the old Air Max "Big Bubble" shoe. They were my running shoes, and they were one of my favorite shoes to wear. The new Nike Air Max 1 just might become my new favorite. The design is super sleek and is a perfect blend of classic and new. The big bubble is still there, and the colorway gives off major retro vibes, but the shoe is unmistakably fresh and modern. I was initially going to wear these shoes for the gym, but a couple of things made me opt instead to use it as an everyday casual shoe.
First, the top of the shoe is a little stiffer than I like. The fabric part is soft and provides decent cushioning, but the overall top and toe area feels stiff and tight. Maybe I will break it in eventually, but I didn't want to take any chances. Besides, the retro design was screaming for me to wear it with jeans. I live in the city and have already walked all around town in them. Besides the aforementioned stiffness, the shoes overall were comfortable and soft and walking for over an hour in them in the city didn't give me any issues.
My favorite thing about the shoes, besides the retro design, is the extra height it gives me without it looking clunky. What I will change about the shoes, however, are the shoelaces. For some reason, it unties easily. I find myself having to re-tie them constantly but that's a minor issue that can be remedied. Overall, I'm already a big fan of the Air Max 1 and can't wait to check out other colorways.

So, I usually wear a 6.5, and I got the Air Max Fuschia in the same size. When I first put them on, I noticed that they felt a bit too tight around the toes. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but it was something I picked up on. On the flip side, the rest of the shoe had a snug fit, especially around the midfoot, which gave me a sense of stability while walking or running.

The cushioning and support were fantastic. The shoes had this plush feel, if you know what I mean? which kind of made them super comfortable for all-day wear in my opinion. I didn't experience any discomfort or rubbing, even during longer walks when I initially tried (I went for a 30-40 minute walk nonstop).

Now, back to the design, the fuschia color was still an absolute win for me. It added a pop of personality to my outfits and made me stand out in a sea of more standard colors.

Regarding the fabric, I loved that it somehow did not make my feet that sweaty for whatever reason the fabric and the material of this Air Max 1 is breathable in spite of the warmth I feel inside, especially in this summer weather. Plus, the material felt durable, so I wasn't worried about them falling apart anytime soon.

Considering everything, what I liked most about these Air Max Fuschia was the mix of style and coziness. It's not often you find a shoe that looks great and feels like a dream to wear.

Now, what would I change? Well, I'd suggest Nike work on the sizing a bit. I could not say they run small, but while the 6.5 was generally fine for me, may be they could work on the extra space towards the toes. It's worth noting for those who prefer a bit more room in the toe area. Maybe they could fine-tune the fit to ensure it's just right for everyone.

But overall, I'm really happy with these Air Max Fuschia sneakers it kind of had become one of my go-to pairs for both casual and active days.
