I have purchased at least 3 pairs of these booties over the years. I have a size 11 foot that runs wide and need a slight heel and wide toe box which makes finding nice shoes hard. I have purchased the M width and they have stretched well without giving me blisters. These leather booties fit like a glove and are the perfect pair for traveling. I have walked 10K+ steps a day in them in cities around the world. They can be more comfortable than sneakers especially on planes. I shine them from time to time and the heels do wear from driving but for the price and fit, I’m happy to buy them every couple years.

I had been looking for a new pair of booties after absolutely living in my last pair of Lucky booties for the past 5 years. They were the Barough style, which apparently they don't make anymore. I assumed Basel would be a similar replacement. I had been eyeing them online and waiting for them to get back in stock. When I got the email that they were, I immediately ordered them for the full price of 98.99. What I received was a total disappointment. Obviously from the clearance rack (see the blue sticker - they didn't even try to hide this fact), someones's worn return. The box was battered, the soles and toes were scuffed - no one would pay full price for these! I probably can't trust buying anything from DSW online again. And to make matters worse, these Basels are nowhere near as comfortable as my Baroughs (for which I probably paid half this price)! I may have to see if I can get the suede refinished on my old pair, since I can't return these fast enough!

Lucky Brand booties used to be my favorite booties. I have many pairs. I see that the quality has declined significantly. I bought a new pair of black booties. Saved them to wear for a special event at work. The heels peeled off after one wearing. Looks terrible! Macys would not accept a return because it had been 2 months since I purchased them. These are defective! I wish I had read the reviews before buying them. Do not purchases these booties. You will regret it.

I was excited to order these as I had been dreaming of them for a while lol. First, the good: nice looking booties, very comfortable, good heel height (not too high, not too low, just right), and it's Lucky Brand, of course :)

Now, the bad: the package arrived today and the new boots are scratched/scraped and worn in places. Looks like one or two other people may have worn them at home and returned them(?) Even so, the color should not be coming off so easily at the heel and outsole.

Since placing the order I've read more reviews about the quality of these booties declining from previous versions. I am concerned they may not hold up very long since they are already showing signs of wear, although I have not yet had the chance to wear them. The "stacked" veneer on one of the heels looks like it may peel off easily because it was not glued on correctly. Still thinking it over, should I keep them or return :/
