CAKE POP IS KING!
Heather· Review provided by pescience.com · November 21, 2024
Cake Pop is the best flavor! It has ruined me for life. I can’t find anything to top how good it is. It is PERFECTION if you love a really deep vanilla with something extra special. It’s my favorite “birthday cake” flavor of any protein powder I’ve tried and has an excellent texture when blended into things. Select is the only protein powder I use because all other whey proteins spike my blood sugar horrdendously, and plant-based products upset my stomach something terrible, but this doesn’t do either! It's super easy to digest and is really great for my blood sugar levels thanks to the casein that digests more slowly, and the milk isolate blend Select has is top notch for health purposes and digestion. I LOVE it. Snickerdoodle is a close second favorite flavor and was my first flavor when I was introduced to PEScience years ago. I still like that one so much, but I like it in different ways than Cake Pop. I'm a huge cinnamon lover and love to mix Snickerdoodle in my morning yogurt bowl (1/2 scoop) and stir that up with some unsweetened applesauce, nonfat Greek yogurt, cinnamon, ginger, and add some berries on top with a sprinkle of flax. I eat that every morning! Snickerdoodle is also delish in oatmeal! I like to use the Cake Pop in my smoothie bowl every evening and use a full scoop to get the post-workout benefits before bed. I blend frozen berries, 1/2 a banana, 1 small container of nonfat greek yogurt, almond milk, greens (spinach/kale), Select Cake Pop (full scoop), raw cacao powder, a chocolate greens powder, and use just enough water to make a thick smoothie. It's so good! Cake Pop is also fantastic in yogurt. I'm not one to drink protein powder with water alone, but if you want to do that, this one has enough flavor where it will actually taste good and not just like a mild vanilla. I've also tried Frosted Sugar Cookie (not my favorite even though I wanted to like it), all the chocolate flavors (also didn't like those), and the Gourmet Vanilla (which I like, just not as much as Cake Pop and Snickerdoodle).

Thank you, PEScience for making TOP TIER protein powder. I can't wait to see what you guys do next. PS> If you need some hints for new flavors, you guys should totally make a Coconut Cream Pie, Coconut Cake, or a Chocolate Coconut Caramel Cookie (like the Girl Scout Samoas cookies!). I also miss the Chocolate Mint Cookie and can't wait to see that one come back!!!
Great Protein Powder Ruined by New Packaging
Wwhhaatt· Review provided by mysupplementshop.co.uk · February 9, 2024
First off, let me start by saying this protein powder is phenomenal, great taste (gourmet vanilla), hits the macros, and works with anything. If you want a whey/casein blend to be able to tackle your needs, I can't recommend this enough, however the new packaging is awful. I have been purchasing this powder for one year now and this is the 3rd time I've ordered it. The original packaging is the giant plastic jar featured in the 1st image. It's sturdy, reliable, and highly versatile. The bag next to it is the "upgraded" packaging and it's terrible. It's far larger than the plastic jar, has to be ripped/cut open, and uses velcro to close. This velcro, seen in the 2nd pic, can get caked with protein as mine did. That picture was taken as I found it after opening and the package is impossible to close. To top it off, since the new packaging is a bag it is more likely to change the shape of the opening and thus you spill more powder. I took the arduous process of transferring the powder to the old jar because otherwise it would go stale in the unsealable "upgraded" packaging. I hope they revert to the old packaging or I will have to reconsider which brand I buy. I gave 2 stars for the powder alone but otherwise this is not good value for your money. It's far more likely to be a hassle than a benefit. If you still want to give this powder a try, I suggest a smaller sized package, otherwise, I do not currently recommend the 55 serving size package.
Peanut Butter Cookie For The Win
Samuel H.· Review provided by pescience.com · April 2, 2024
Among the greatest inventions of mankind, ye humble peanut butter has a firm spot in my pantheon of foods. As a long-time user of various protein products, I can safely say that most flavors, regardless of their over-the-top marketed names, end up tasting either "mostly vanilla" or "mostly chocolate." What is rare to find are truly unique flavors that closely resemble whatever it is their flavor-profile is going after (e.g. true protein OG-legends, including ON's Chocolate Malt or Dymatize's Fruity Pebbles). PEScience's Peanut Butter Cookie is just that. It has a peanut-butter flavor that goes for flavor accuracy above simple sweetness. I can't speak to how it mixes in a shake as I primarily cook with it, but I can safely say it heats and cooks beautifully. I'm very happy to have found this flavor, as most PB-style flavors will mask that peanut flavor with over-tones of chocolate, and the PB becomes an afterthought. This is the rare PB whey that delivers on its inspiration, the Nutter Butter. Also worth pointing out, and this seems to be true for all the Select protein products, this is an easy digesting protein. It's disappointing when you find a great flavor only to later learn that it messes up your stomach, but this brand passes the quality test for sure.
White Chocolate Macadamia Review
Samuel· Review provided by pescience.com · June 15, 2024
I took a chance and ordered the White Chocolate Macadamia (WCM) flavor, seeing as it was a limited release and figured I enjoy almost all the other PES flavors, and here are my thoughts:

In short, this otherwise very good product suffers from bad marketing. Hear me out - this flavor is basically the love child between Cake Pop/Frosted Sugar Cookie (those two are super similar, if you're familiar with either) and Peanut Butter Cookie. WCM is basically a very solid, full-bodied vanilla-based protein with that hint of nutty complexity, which gives it a nice depth over basic vanillas. If you're looking for a strong macadamia element, you will not find it here. Put another way, if you put this protein in a blind-fold taste test and asked the participants to guess the flavor's name, they'd NEVER say WCM. That being said, this is not a bad protein at all; it's just about knowing what to expect.

It also cooks and takes high-heat phenomenally well if you're using it in those applications. Overall, my top flavors remain Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Cookie, and Cake Pop. WCM wouldn't be a reorder for me, but as a limited-release for once in a while, it fits the bill perfectly.
